I started to love making art at a young age with my grandma and drawing all over the walls. Over the years I grew to love drawing, but I never saw it as a career. I didn’t know what I wanted to do with my life. I realized this when in my freshmen year of high school; I was staring at a career goal sheet with my mom next to me. I told her “I didn’t know what I wanted to do.” She looked me dead in the eyes and said “Don’t be dumb you love art and your good at it. So, write that down dork.”

Now, I’m an artist in love with my craft and making whatever comes to my brain or peaks my interest. Now I’m in the process of making a comic and graduating soon with my Bachelor of Arts. I have come a long way from that lost little freshman. I make art that puts a smile on my face; when I make art I want people to get lost in my world.

I bet your wondering why my site and brand is called Madyssen’s Rat Pack? Thats simply because I’m a big pack rat. As an artist I hoard all types of materials and tools. I also have tons of nick-nacks that give me inspiration; If I find it interesting enough to draw or gives me a creative idea, I buy it from my local thrift stores. I’m a mess, but I embrace my mess in my art studio.
